In the end however she goes back to Krogstad.
Christine appears to be a quiet and polite woman, which contrasts Nora who is bold and flamboyant.
Christine appears to be physically frail and looks very pale.
It is made clear that she has gone through many hardships and struggles in her life that Nora is unable to relate to.
She had worked many jobs in order to make money for her mother and siblings while she cared for them, her mother unfortunately eventually passed away.
Christine appears concerned for Nora when she confides in her about her situation with Krogstad.
She expresses that she doesn't want Nora to be trapped in an unhealthy marriage with Torvalds.
In many ways Christine portrays the image of the 'new woman'.
